North Wales, UK has some of the most beautiful and clean beaches in the world. If you’re planning on visiting North Wales anytime soon, here are five things to remember on your beach day!

1) Choose the time of day (and year) wisely

If you’re going to be at a beach, choose your time of day wisely. You don’t want to get there when it’s boiling hot, and you also want to avoid getting there when it’s too cold or dark out. Try scheduling your beach trip early in the morning. In North Wales, that means between 8:00 am and 10:00 am will provide optimal conditions on most days. Of course, bad weather can always strike, but being at a beach in North Wales during sunny conditions is (arguably) better than being anywhere else in the world! Grab some coffee and tea with milk before heading out so you can have your pick of beverages while soaking up some sun.

2) Dress Appropriately

A beach day is supposed to be fun, but without proper preparation, it can also be really stressful. When it’s time to pack your bag and head out, you’ll want to make sure you remember these essentials: sunscreen, sunglasses, beach toys (e.g., inflatable rafts), water bottles, swimwear, towels, hats and anything else you may need. Remembering these will help ensure that your trip to North Wales remains enjoyable. If you forget anything, then some eaches have items available for rent or purchase. However, when in doubt always bring more than you think you might need—better safe than sorry!

3) Protect Your Skin

When you’re spending all day at the beach, you’ll want to make sure your skin is protected from harmful rays. Your best bet is a suncream with an SPF of 30 or higher; dermatologists recommend staying out of direct sunlight between 10 AM and 4 PM. You can also wear sunglasses, hats, rash guards and swimsuits that cover as much skin as possible. And don’t forget to reapply sunscreen every few hours! It may seem like a pain but it will be worth it in 20 years when your skin looks amazing for your age.

4) Stock Up On Essentials

Preparing for all possible weather conditions is a key part of having a perfect beach day. Be prepared by wearing plenty of sun crea,, bringing along refreshments and, most importantly, packing your swimsuit. However, don’t let preparation go to waste: as soon as you reach your destination, be sure to spend as much time as possible in and around the water. Whether you decide to partake in watersports or simply laze around on the sand soaking up some sun—the most important thing is to enjoy yourself!

5) Safety First!

In addition to packing everything you need in your beach bag, it’s always good to have a few safety essentials on hand. Sunblock is definitely number one, but there are so many other important items that can help you have fun and feel comfortable in every situation. Watch out for the tide! Beach walkers can sometimes fall foul to getting stuck on a sandbank – this is dangerous, so make sure you are not caught out. Riptides can also be surprisingly strong, so be mindful and careful about where you swim.
