With the weather heating up and summer vacations happening left, right and centre, it’s time to start thinking about what you want to do this year. If you’re already dreaming of big trips and relaxing getaways, why not start with North Wales? This stunning region of the United Kingdom offers plenty of things to do that will make your trip an unforgettable one. Here are our top five suggestions for fun things to do in North Wales this summer!

Hit the beach

Whether you are a fan of long walks on deserted beaches or would rather opt for a relaxing day at one of North Wales’ suntraps, with miles and miles of unspoilt coastline, it will be hard to see everything that is available. If you are looking for something more exciting than soaking up some sunshine, check out some of these hidden gems in our backyard. There is something here for everyone and it’s just waiting to be discovered by you. What are you waiting for? We recommend the beaches of Colwyn Bay, Morfa Nefyn, Newborough and Llanddulas. Explore the mountains of Snowdonia

Snowdonia is a region of stunning and unspoiled beauty, where you can experience nature at its wildest. You’ll find mountains, rivers, lakes and amazing views throughout your visit.  When it comes to outdoor adventure, Snowdonia has something for everyone. Take an exhilarating hike through mountains and valleys or join a cycling tour through some of Britain’s most scenic landscapes—there are also activities available for kids and families. A great town to check out is Betws-y-Coed, you can get a bite to eat and explore the beautiful countryside.

Go for a stroll in the woods

The best way to experience and get a feel for any new place is through sight. If you’re planning on staying at a hotel or bed and breakfast, then ask your host or concierge if they have any great nearby walking trails. If you plan on camping, there are plenty of fantastic woodland camping spots within easy reach of most areas. The National Trust has loads of great walking trails across its sites so it’s worth checking out what’s around, even if you’re staying further afield.

Spa Day at Kinspa

If you’re looking for a bit of pampering, then head down to Kinspa – one of our best-loved spa breaks. Located just half an hour from Chester, Kinspa offers a relaxing day spa experience that’ll leave you feeling rejuvenated.
